Port Washington Students 'Tour' France: Pictures

The students celebrated Foreign Language Week by immersing into French culture.

From Port Washington Union Free School District: Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School in Port Washington recently kicked off Foreign Language Week by honing in on their French studies. Students had the opportunity to show their appreciation for the French language through their in-depth research presentations.

Weber’s middle school students covered a wide variety of subjects and people in their presentations from French artist Claude Monet to soccer superstar Antoine Griezmann to fashion icon Coco Chanel. Presentations also included information on French holidays, traditions, food and customs native to the country. Foreign Language Week provides students with a deeper appreciation of not just a country’s language but its culture as well.
