One Port Washington Teen Found Safe, One Still Missing: Police
Two teenagers were last seen boarding an LIRR train and reported missing on Jan. 14– the 15-year-old was located on Friday, police say.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — The 15-year-old Port Washington teenager reported missing on Jan. 14 has been located on Friday, police said.
Nassau County police said Ana Birbiglia was last seen boarding a Port Washington LIRR train to Penn Station at 7:40 a.m. and was reported missing at 8:50 a.m.
NCPD said Birbiglia was with 16-year-old Elize Avazis when she boarded the train, and Avazis is still reported missing.

Avazis is described as a white female, 5-feet 5-inches tall, approximately 125 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes, police said. She was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark sweatpants, police said. NCPD said she is known to travel to New York City.
Anyone with information regarding Avazis can contact the NCPD Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, NCPD said.
