PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Hundreds of kids and dozens of businesses participated in a fun-filled Halloween on Main event in Port Washington. The three-hour event, which began at 1 p.m. Saturday and was organized by the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District, featured trick-or-treating and live music by Bach to Rock Port Washington.
It was held near the Town Dock on lower Main Street. Many kids received free Halloween-themed knapsacks filled with candies.
"We had over 70 merchants that participated and the performances by Bach to Rock were incredible," the organization said in a news release.
