Overview: is the perfect mix of a pizzeria and restaurant with more dishes than you might expect. Diners can enjoy all kinds of classic and inventive pizzas, from pepperoni to chicken ceasar. Gino's also serves up plenty of tasty entrees.
Decor: Gino's is all about its menu, so it's décor, while nice to look at, doesn't do a lot to detract you from what diners really came for – the food. There are plenty of tables and booths, but lunchtime and after school, seating can be hard to find.
Appetizers: How many places come out with bruschetta for you? Gino's does, and the twist on dinner rolls is a welcome one, especially since you're still given bread. The mozzarella sticks are as warm and gooey as mozzarella sticks should be.
Entrees: The Farfalle Alla Gino does not disappoint, with its crumbled sausage, chicken, spinach and pink sauce mixed with farfalle pasta and mozzarella cheese. The Trofie, fresh corkscrew pasta with grilled chicken in pesto sauce, is a tasty choice and should be tried by everyone at least once.
Service: The wait service was attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled. Our food was brought to us in a timely fashion as well.
Chef/owner: Paul DePaulis knows a little something about transforming the pizzaria concept into a go-to restaurants. Along with partner, Joe LaRocca, DePaulis took Little Neck's Centre Pizza and turned it into the fine dining establishment it is today. With Gino's of Port Washington, DePaulis has done the same thing. Gino's is wonderful place to sit relax and fill up on great food.
