'Pride in Port' to Take Over Saturday

Pride in Port is gearing up for their celebration this weekend.

Here’s a rundown of the events of the day:

10 a.m. Schrieber Girls Soccer takes on Oceanside on the Whitney Turf Field. Read more here.

11:30 a.m. Pride in Port Parade

Led by Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society, watch Port’s beloved Hall of Famers, school members, local businesses and organizations, and bands march down Main Street and Belleview Avenue. The parade continues down Port Washington Boulevard and ends on Campus Drive.

12:15-3:30 p.m. Port Family Fun Day begins with kid-friendly carnival amusements, inflatable houses, and more.

12:45 p.m. Senior Citizens’ Appreciation Luncheon in the Schreiber High School cafeteria

2 p.m. Hall of Fame Inductions on Whitney Turf Field

7 p.m. Pride in Port Dinner-Dance at the Polish American Cultural Association Hall

Whirl around the dancefloor to a live band and work your way through a “Taste of Port”. Raffles will take place and costs $30 in advance/$35 at the door.
