PW Library Foundation's 1892 Society Meets Acclaimed Author Colm Toibin
Library donors are treated to a pre-event gathering.
A special thank you gathering was held for the Port Washington Foundation’s 1892 Society and Friends of the Library supporters at Ayhan’s Shish Kebab Restaurant on June 11th. Library donors were invited to the reception to mingle and meet author, Colm Tóibín. Mr. Tóibín later appeared at the Library to discuss his new novel, Nora Webster and record an upcoming NPR podcast. Guests were treated to Mediterranean fare and lively conversation with the acclaimed author. After the reception, the group enjoyed an early summer walk up to the Library for the evening program.
The 1892 Society offers Library Foundation donors the unique opportunity for personal engagement in the life and work of the Library. Donors making annual gifts of $1,000 and above, help the Foundation provide critical funds to support the needs of the Port Washington Public Library not covered by taxes.
