Ready to Rock: Fundraiser for the Haven Houseboats Disaster - Feb 27

On January 19th a devastating fire tore through several houseboats at the Haven Marina. Families were left homeless, belongings were destroyed and tragically family pets died in the fire. Fortunately, no lives were lost, but the victims were left with next to nothing.

Dave Franklin, Police Commissioner of Port Washington, quickly put a plan into action to help raise money for the individuals. “The support and enthusiasm from the Port Washington residents has been amazing! This is going to be a memorable night. We are fortunate to live in this town which is such a strong community,” said Dave Franklin.

The Haven Houseboats Fundraiser is scheduled for Friday Feb 27th 7:00 PM until midnight at The Polish Hall at 5 Pulaski Place, Port Washington, NY. An incredible line up of musicians scheduled to appear includes Alter Ego, Ricky Roche, John Ford of The Strawbs, “KILLER” Joe Ferraro, Mike Nugent, Tony Barca and The Bucket List, Tammie Wolfarth, Felix Cabrera, Damon Gersh and Rock Steady and many other special guests.

In addition to the great music, partygoers will get the chance to bid on incredible Chinese Auction baskets and items. The cost will be $25 (collected at the door) and there will be a cash bar.

100% of the proceeds will benefit the victims of the Haven Houseboats Fire. Please come out and support this worthy cause!
