Firefighters in Valley Stream responded to a two-alarm fire on Thursday night that destroyed a home in the village.
The call came in Thursday night for the fire in a home on Filbert Street, just off Pershing Avenue. Fire was erupting from the windows of the two-and-a-half story home. Firefighters from neighboring departments responded to help get the blaze under control.
Eventually, firefighters were able to put out the fire, but it destroyed the home. No one was injured.
