Available items/experiences will include Broadway show tickets, Yankees tickets, Mets tickets, a Tiffany necklace, a $250 gift certificate to Barneys and much more!

Community organizations are an important part of Portfest and The Sands Point Preserve has committed to be a Bronze sponsor for Portfest 2016. The Sands Point Preserve on the original Guggenheim Estate embodies the grandeur and elegance that define the Gold Coast period of the early 20th century, when prominent American families built great mansions on large estates as summer retreats along the Long Island Sound. Sands Point was the famed “East Egg” of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby”. Sands Point Preserve’s Hempstead House is where HEARTS had their fabulous Red Party Gala last year.

Today, the magnificent 216-acre park, including its historic mansions and the Phil Dejana Learning Center, is owned by Nassau County, NY, and is maintained and operated by the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, formerly the Friends of the Sands Point Preserve. The Conservancy provides year-round educational and cultural programs, seasonal celebrations, mansion tours, fitness activities as well as private/corporate event services and film/TV location facilities. The Sands Point Preserve has generously also contributed a Family Membership to the Silent Auction. Another Community organization that will be both exhibiting and supporting Portfest 2016 is Port Washington Play Troupe. Founded in 1927 as a non-profit community theater company, Play Troupe offers programing that includes inter-generational theater for children, musicals, straight plays/classics, live-broadcast radio dramas, and even a behind-the-scenes theater discussion series. Play Troupe's ongoing programming has enjoyed the generous support of the Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation.
