Schreiber High School Students To Learn Remotely Tuesday
Schreiber High School will be closed on Tuesday and students will learn remotely after a person tested positive for COVID-19.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY – Schreiber High School will be closed on Tuesday and students will learn remotely after a person tested positive for COVID-19.
In a letter to families, Superintendent Michael Hynes said he was notified by the Nassau County Department of Health Monday a person had tested positive. Additional information about that person will not be shared.
Hynes said the school district is following building sanitizing and cleaning protocols and all students and staff in the classes related to this cases, as well as anyone considered to be close contacts, have been instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Close contact is defined as being within six feet of an infected individual for at least 10 minutes, with or without a mask.
The Department of Health will contact individuals identified as close contacts.
