Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Trailer Premiere Monday, Ticket Details, Marathon Screenings Announced
Tickets on sale Monday for the most anticipated film of the year, with a special event announced at two Long Island movie theaters.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters Friday, Dec. 18. The film’s producers made several big announcements Sunday.
- There’s a new promotional poster (above),
- A new trailer will premiere during Monday Night Football on ESPN,
- Tickets go on sale Monday, and
- Marathon screenings of all seven films will run in two select Long Island movie theaters.
Billed as “the ultimate fan experience,” the marathon Dec. 17 will include all seven movies. The first six films will be screened in 2D, before the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 3D. Guests will also receive a lanyard featuring exclusive movie marathon art.

Long Islanders can watch the marathon at the following theaters:
- AMC Loews Raceway 10, located at 1025 Corporate Drive in Westbury
- Island 16: Cinema de Lux, located at 185 Morris Avenue in Holtsville
Regal Cinemas will also have a Force Awakens exclusive offer. Each Saturday, from Dec. 19 to Jan. 9, the first 500 guests for Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX at Regal locations will receive a collectable ticket featuring unique Star Wars: The Force Awakens art.

Moviegoers who purchase tickets within the first 24 hours can increase their chances to win. Ten runners-up can win a collectible “Dark Side” or “Light Side” prize pack.
