Town Of North Hempstead Free Health Screenings

From North Hempstead: North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the North Hempstead Town Board are proud to announce that Project Independence, the town’s innovative ‘aging-in-place’ initiative, is once again partnering with St. Francis Hospital’s Community Outreach Program to provide residents with free health screenings.

“Project Independence is proud to partner with the St. Francis Hospital Community Outreach Program to hold free health screenings for our residents throughout the Town of North Hempstead. Our goal is to help provide access to high quality healthcare to all in our community,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth.

The screenings include a brief cardiac history, blood pressure, simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes screenings with appropriate patient education and referrals as needed for clients above the age of 18. Registration is not required.

Tuesday, September 24 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fuschillo Park, Carle Road at Broadmoor Lane, Carle Place

Tuesday, October 8 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clinton G. Martin Park, 1601 Marcus Avenue, New Hyde Park

Thursday, October 10 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Magnolia Gardens, 899 Broadway, Westbury

Thursday, October 17 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Port Washington Senior Center, 80 Manorhaven Boulevard, Port Washington

Monday, November 4 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Hempstead “Yes We Can” Community Center, 141 Garden Street, Westbury

Tuesday, December 3 – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sid Jacobson JCC, 300 Forest Drive, East Hills

Thursday, December 5 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Great Neck Social Center, 80 Grace Avenue, Great Neck

Thursday, December 12 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Manhasset Valley Residence, 155 East Shore Road, Manhasset
