Town Officials Honor Port Washington's New Police Chief
James Salerno was presented with a proclamation for his meritorious public service
North Hempstead officials honored James Salerno Thursday, when he was sworn in as the Port Washington Police District’s 10th chief.
Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio and Town Clerk Wayne Wink presented him with a proclamation recognizing him for his meritorious public service and wishing him well in his new position.
The ceremony was held at the Atlantic Firehouse in Port Washington.
