Join Weber Middle School students March 18-20th as they step back in time to the 1950s with their winter musical production of "Guys & Dolls.”
Set in New York City, this show tells the stories of Sarah Brown (played by 8th grader Noa Schachter), the upright but uptight “mission doll” out to reform the evildoers of Times Square; Sky Masterson (played by 7th grader Ian Miller), the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide (played by 8th grader Arianna Asselta), the Hot Box performer, who’s chronic cold is brought on by the fact she’s been engaged to the same man for 14 years and Nathan Detroit (played by 8th grader Robbie Meade), her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.
This year's production of "Guys & Dolls” is directed by Weber English teacher Stacey Portmore-Davies, musically directed by Weber music teacher Allison Friedman, and choreographed by Salem 4th grade teacher Stacey Medford. The show features over 150 talented students in the cast, pit orchestra, and stage crew! Performances will be held on Friday, March 18th at 7:30pm, Saturday, March 19th at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 20th at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $3 for students and senior citizens, and children five and under are free.
