14 Hurt After Stolen SUV Crashes Into MTA Bus In Brooklyn: Cops
Teenagers on a joy ride in a stolen car crashed into an MTA bus a few minutes after police tried to pull them over, according to police.

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — Fourteen people were hurt Thursday when teenagers on a joy ride through Canarsie crashed into an MTA bus after cops tried to pull them over, according to police.
The stolen Toyota Highlander sped through a stop sign and into the bus near 87th Street and Avenue M just after 6 p.m., causing the bus to hit a black BMW that had been driving in another lane on the avenue, police said.
Cops had tried to pull over the SUV just moments before when it sped by 86th Street and Glenwood Road. The Highlander kept driving and the officers stopped the chase, police said.

The crash left 10 people on the bus, the three people in the Highlander and the driver of the BMW with minor injuries.
All three people in the Highlander were taken into custody and two were arrested, police said.

The 16-year-old driver of the stolen car was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana, police said.
His 17-year-old passenger was also charged with criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and marijuana possession, cops said.
