The Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum presents the Sackler Center First Awards, honoring women who are first in their fields.
The 2014 Sackler Center First Awards honors Anita F. Hill for Speaking Truth to Power.
The evening will begin with a private cocktail reception at 6 p.m. The program starts at 7 p.m. with a screening of the Freida Lee Mock documentary ANITA (2013), followed by the award presentation, which will be made by Gloria Steinem and Elizabeth Sackler. Special remarks by New York City First Lady Chirlane McCray, Honorary Event Chair.
