28-Year-Old Killed In Prospect Heights Shooting: Cops
Cops found the 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds outside of a home on Saint Marks Avenue, police said.
PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 28-year-old was killed in an early morning shooting in Prospect Heights on Wednesday, police said.
Cops found the 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso on Saint Marks Avenue, near Carlton Avenue, around 1:22 a.m., police said.
He was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There were no arrests as of Wednesday morning.
The killing is the latest in a shooting surge in the neighborhood as the officials face a citywide spike in gun violence.

There have been 36 shooting incidents so far this year in Crown Heights and Prospect Heights' 77th Precinct, compared to just 16 during the same time period last year. They are part of a nearly 100 percent increase in shootings across northern Brooklyn, according to NYPD data.
