8-Hour Eastern Parkway Water Shutoff Wed-Fri

North Side of Eastern Parkway from Underhill Avenue through 125 Eastern Parkway will have no water from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.

Due to the ongoing , the North side of Eastern Parkway from Underhill Avenue to (and including) 125 Eastern Parkway will have no water on Wednesday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at the latest), according to the NYC Department of Design and Construction.

There will also be no water in unspecified buildings on the entire stretch of the North side of Eastern Parkway between Washington Avenue through Underhill Avenue Thursday and Friday from 8 to 4, according to the NYC DDC.

The shutoff is neccessary to allow the NYC DDC to install a new 12-inch water main, according to the NYC DDC. 

The DDC recommends the following:

• that you shut off the water main valve in your house/building in order to avoid problems that may occur if/when sediment enters or released from your plumbing.

• that you shut off all WATER-cooled appliances, which may include air conditioners, etc.

• Once water service is returned, turn the main house valve back on and flush the system by running your faucets to sinks and tubs for a few minutes.
