Valerie Hsiung is a singer-songwriter, musician and poet. A recipient of the 2012 Frances Mason Harris Prize and a 2013 Mabou Mines Artist-in-Residency nominee, two of her poetry books–incantation inarticulate and under your face–were published by O Balthazar Press. Her first full-length album, IS, will be released in 2014. Born in Cincinnati and raised in Las Vegas, she now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
