Arrest Made In Fatal 2019 Shooting At Kingsborough Houses: Cops
A 24-year-old was charged with murder last week, more than a year after a fatal shooting at the Crown Heights housing complex, police said.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights man was charged with murder last week in connection with a fatal shooting at the Kingsborough Houses that happened nearly two years ago, cops said Saturday.
Rashwan Brown, 24, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree harassment for the January 2019 shooting, which killed a 43-year-old man, police said.
The 43-year-old, Phillip Scarlett, was shot several times inside 219 Kingsborough 2 Walk the afternoon of Jan. 13 after a struggle in the hallway with two men, police said at the time.

Scarlett, who lived across the street from the Kingsborough Houses, was rushed to Interfaith Medical Center but doctors could not save his life, police said.
Police did not say whether they expect to make more arrests in the case.
