Arty Facts: Visiting Artist Adejoke Tugbiyele. Sunday 3/13. 11 AM and 1:30PM

Join sculptor and human rights activist Adejoke Tugbiyele in exploring the concept of power, the body, spirituality and the human condition.

As part of our special Arty Facts series with Brooklyn artists, create wearable art that address the question: What does it mean to be powerful? Sculptor and human rights activist Adejoke Tugbiyele will explore with you the concept of power, the body, spirituality and the human condition. Known primarily for the handcrafted figures she assembles from repurposed materials, Tugbiyele draws inspiration fromher Nigerian heritage to create her work.

Each Sunday's program(11am and at 1:30pm) is a vartiation on the monthly theme. The month of March features "powerful figures".

There is a $10 materials fee (for up to four participants); $5 for Gallery/Studio families and Museum members at the Family level and Free to Members at the Friend level and above.

Please remember Arty Facts is for children ages 4-7 with an adult companion. Please do not bring siblings younger than 4 or older than 7.
