The submission comes from my parents, who stopped by the cozy bar/restaurant this past Wednesday.
The friendly spot and wines on tap in February, but the oyster special is still the major draw for some.

“We ordered a dozen Blue Point oysters at a buck each, they were a bargain,” said Rita Clark – delicious, fresh and good quality.
She said they were “very nicely" served on a bed of ice with lemon and two sauces – traditional cocktail sauce as well as a mignonette sauce of vinegar, ground pepper and shallots.

Her one disappointment – no oyster crackers. But the waitress provided saltines as a decent replacement.
My parents also ordered the "oyster selection" – $16 for 7 oysters, not as much of a bargain but still excellent shellfish a decent price, they said.
Being eight months pregnant, I haven't yet had the opportunity to partake in the oyster special, but come late August, I’m making a beeline for Vanderbilt an Pacific, newborn in tow.
