Brooklyn Mediates Celebrates Grand Opening Tonight
New approach to conflict resolution hosts launch party at Breukelen Cafe

Brooklyn Mediates, a unique approach to conflict resolution that is founded and based in the borough, is holding its official opening this evening.
The launch party will take place from 7:00-9:00pm at Bruekelen Cafe (764 Franklin Ave.) and will have an open bar and free food.
The event is also a fundraiser for Brooklyn Mediates to provide free conflict resolution skills workshops throughout the borough. However, they will operate as a for-profit practice offering direct mediation services, organizational consulting, and large group workshops.

The organization was co-founded by Lisa Kass and Michal Bilick in order to help change how mediation is used in people's daily lives.
"Often, people want to resolve conflicts with their families, friends and colleagues, but they are stuck in patterns that allow conflict to persist," said Bilicl. "Our vision is to promote easier access to conflict resolution skills around the city."
