Brooklyn Straphanger Gives Lip, Then Takes It, Police Say

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — It wasn't a question of giving lip, but taking it. Police are looking for the man who bit off part of another man’s lip during a subway brawl on Saturday.

The 37-year-old victim began fighting with his attacker at the 4 train station on Utica Avenue and Eastern Parkway at about 10 p.m. Saturday night, police said.

The outraged straphanger suddenly lunged and bit off a piece of the victim’s lip, then fled the station, said police.

Emergency responders rushed the 37-year old to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, police said.

On Monday night, Police released photos of the suspect — whom they describe as a bald man in his late 30s, standing about 5-foot, 11-inches, weighing about 170 pounds and sporting a purple backpack — and video of him shouting.
