Cops Search For Car That Hit Officers During Brooklyn Protest
The NYPD have released photos of a car that they say hit two officers during a protest about the death of Walter Wallace Jr. last week.

BROOKLYN, NY — Cops are searching for the owner of a car that hit two officers during a chaotic protest in Brooklyn last week surrounding the death of Walter Wallace Jr. in Philadelphia.
The car, a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis, was on the road near Smith Street an Atlantic Avenue just before 10 p.m. last Tuesday when two NYPD officers told the driver to stop "for the safety of other Officers and civilians on the roadway at the time," police said.
Hundreds of protesters had been marching through the streets near Atlantic Avenue that night to protest against the death of Walter Wallace Jr., a Black man who was shot by Philadelphia police on Monday.

The driver of the Marquis refused to stop even as the officers started smashing the car's windows and trying to open the door, according to police and videos from the incident.
As the car drove away, it hit two NYPD officers, who were later sent to the hospital for pain and swelling and a laceration to the wrist, police said.
