BROOKLYN, NY — A pair of thieves have been stealing ATMs with tens of thousands of dollars inside around Brooklyn, police said this week.

Cops released photos Wednesday of two men who they say have taken at least five ATMs since August, totaling at least $49,000 stolen.

The men first took an ATM in front of a gas station on Atlantic Avenue on Aug. 30 that had $18,300 inside, police said. They hoisted the machine into a white van around 5:20 a.m. before driving away, according to police.

The next week, the same men took an ATM in front of a Bedford Avenue gas station and another on Fulton Street just 24 hours apart. It is unknown how much cash was in the Bedford Avenue machine, but the Fulton Avenue ATM had nearly $10,000, police said.

The thieves took a fourth ATM from a deli in Bushwick on Sept. 30 that had $20,000 in it and, most recently, an ATM with about $1,500 in it from a building in Prospect Heights, police said.
