Crown Heights Man Shot Dead In Brooklyn Street, Police Say
Jamal Cox Simms was killed on the corner of St. Marks and New York avenues Thursday evening, police said.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A local man was fatally shot in the head in the streets of Crown Heights Thursday evening, police said.
Jamal Cox Simms, 29, was gunned down on the corner of St. Marks and New York avenues at about 7:15 p.m., police said.
Emergency responders found Simms lying in the street with a gunshot wound in his head and pronounced him dead at the scene, said police.

Simms was killed just blocks away from his home on Prospect Place and Nostrand Avenue, according to police.
No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.
