CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A SUV sped off from a shooting in Crown Heights and almost left one suspect in its dust, video shows.

Two groups of men exchanged gunfire April 1 at the corner of New York Avenue and Saint Marks Avenue, NYPD said. Thankfully, their bullets missed each other and only damaged a nearby car, authorities said.

The men scattered after the 8:45 p.m. shooting — one headed east down Saint Marks Avenue and the other north on New York Avenue, authorities said.

Surveillance video shows one group inside the lobby of 789 St. Marks Ave. Another camera captured the other group speeding off in a SUV.

A man in a red shirt struggled to catch up with the SUV as it sped away from the shooting, the video shows. It eventually stopped and he hopped inside.
