Leah Shaw, Aviva Jaye, and Katie Buchanan met at a West Harlem coffee shop and decided that the perfect set would be a blend of their particular blend of song craft. Shaw sings about living far from her southern home with clarity that hints pop, country and soul; Jaye underscores honest lyrics with simple, beautiful motifs and folk instruments; Buchanan is a rocker whose blues roots shine through her guitar lines and voice. It is not only their music, but also their willingness to accompany each others’ on-state performances that make this a particularly unique and dynamic set.
