Drunk Driver Kills Woman Crossing Atlantic Ave In Brooklyn: Cops
The driver is facing DWI charges after he hit and killed a 62-year-old woman crossing the street in front of her home Sunday, police said.

BOERUM HILL, BROOKLYN — A driver who hit and killed a woman crossing the street steps from her home on Sunday has been charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
Jasen Nhambiu, 49, was arrested Sunday evening, just hours after he hit 62-year-old Alina Morales as she crossed Atlantic Avenue, police said.
Nhambiu was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a breath test, operating a vehicle without a license and being an aggravated unlicensed operator, according to police.

He hit Morales while driving a Hyundai Sonata as she crossed between Third Avenue and Nevins Street just before 8 p.m., police said.
Morales, whose apartment building was steps from where she was hit, was taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was pronounced dead. Police said she went into cardiac arrest after the crash.
