Elderly Man Fatally Struck By SUV In Crown Heights Street: Police
Paul Chipkin died from his injuries one week after he was hit on Ralph Avenue near Sterling Place, police said.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — An elderly Brooklyn man was struck by an SUV in the middle of the street outside his home and died from his injuries about one week later, police said.
Paul Chipkin, 74, was standing at the center of Ralph Avenue, just south of Sterling Place, on June 20 at about 9:40 p.m. when he was hit by the 2003 Nissan, said police.
Emergency responders rushed Chipkin to Brookdale Hospital where he died from his injuries Wednesday night, according to police.

The 38-year-old woman driving the Nissan stayed at the crash site and was not charged with a crime, police said.
