APPLE ARTS AND THE BROOKLYN EDIBLE SOCIAL CLUB ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE A PARTNERSHIP devoted to raising awareness of increasing levels of hunger and malnutrition among New York City youth. Research shows that children at risk of hunger are sick more often, more likely to have poorer mental health, be withdrawn or socially disruptive, and suffer greater rates of behavioral disorders. The purpose of this new partnership is to provide more homeless youth with fresh foods and to connect them to educational resources designed to nourish healthy eating habits.

BROOKLYN EDIBLE SOCIAL CLUB is a collective led by a chef with a decade of fine dining experience (Gordon Ramsay, The French Laundry) and a food-loving designer. We host five-course artisanal dinner parties featuring seasonal ingredients from local, responsible farms.

THE APPLE ARTS HEALTHY SNACKS PROGRAM provides wholesome foods to children living in homeless shelters. The program was founded in 2007 in response to a dramatic increase in hunger nationwide. We have provided over 200 kids with healthy snacks at least once a week from September through June, and look forward to feeding thousands more.

THE MISSION OF APPLE ARTS is to nurture and support underserved youth through art education.
