"Girls Are Not For Sale" - Film Screening

According to Brooklyn Launchpad's website, "'Very Young Girls' is an exposé of the commercial sexual exploitation of girls in New York City as they are sold on the streets by pimps, and treated as adult criminals by police."

All proceeds of the evening's events will go to GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services), "the only organization in New York State specifically designed to serve girls and young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking.

"Learn more about what you can do to be involved. Following the film screening, YWTF invites you to join them at Franklin Park to have some drinks, sign petitions, and write letters to policy-makers demanding stronger anti-trafficking laws, improved law enforcement response and increased social services to help women and girls escape trafficking," according to LaunchPad.
