“Catty and catchy, cabaret yet country, if the “Sex and the City” cast were a traveling group of witty white trash singers, this is what they’d sound like.”
“…impressive sass and authentic roots music savvy.”
“…delightful late-night, boozy, slightly ribald giddiness…”

9pm- Alan Lee and the Whiskey Bumps
Genre: Americana, “Twang-pop”
For fans of: Dave Edmunds, Band of Heathens, Gram Parsons, Tom Petty, Joe Ely, John Fogerty, Steve Earle, Derailers
Alan Lee has been playing “alt-country/americana” before either of those terms existed. As a founding member of the Twanglers, his participation with Diesel Only Records in the 90’s help launch the “No Depression” movement which evolved into the Americana music scene we know today. His song’s were featured in the film “Freeway” (with Reese Witherspoon). The band’s lineup reads like a “who’s-who” of the NYC Americana music scene.
“Sounds like a cross between Willie Nelson and Squeeze.” – Village Voice
“NY bar scene veterans flex their rockabilly muscles on this smoking CD! Hot licks (“Get Outta This House”, “Tiny Tijuana Saloon”) and inspired lyrics (“What Would Elvis Do?”, “So Far”) make this a “must have!” –CD Baby
10pm- Sean Kershaw and the New Jack Ramblers
Genre: Honkytonk, rockabilly, country, jump blues
For fans of: Johnny Cash, Southern Culture on the Skids, Merle Haggard, Reverend Horton Heat, Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys
Hi-Octane Honkytonk is what Sean Kershaw calls it. Google “Brooklyn Country” and his name will come up, way up front in a now-crowded field. What’s fer damn sure is it ain’t that overproduced pablum they’re putting on the radio nowadays. SK&NJR reach back to country’s roots and throw in a healthy dose of Mr Kershaw’s punk rock background to serve up some hard drivin’, butt-shakin’ dirty Southern boogie that will have you clearin’ the tables to make way for a dance floor! With enough original material (and a few choice covers) to play for hours, Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers will leave you worn out and screaming for more!
On debut CD Coney Island Cowboy, “Love the great honkytonk swing of this CD. Kinda modern, even punk outlaw sounding...great stuff!” -BRCFP 2009
“Honkytonk Brooklyn-style from Sean Kershaw is what this genre needs!” -Playgirl Magazine 2007
“Baritone country crooner Sean Kershaw‘s new album The Aussie Sessions is arguably his best – and he’s been writing good songs for a long time. His first New York band, the Blind Pharaohs, hung out on the shadowy side of rockabilly. Since then, Kershaw has gone in more of a classic honkytonk and western swing direction with his band the New Jack Ramblers. This one goes deep into the noir, from Texas to Tennessee – except that it was recorded in that hotbed of edgy music, Melbourne, Australia.” (Lucid Culture Dec 2013)
