Hijackers Steal 78-Year-Old's Chevy Malibu In Crown Heights: Cops

Police are looking for three young men who forced an elderly man to hand over the keys to his 2009 sedan Sunday night.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN -- Police are hunting for three hijackers who stole an elderly man's Chevy Malibu at gunpoint in Crown Heights.

The three hijackers surrounded the 78-year-old man who had just parked his car on the corner of Eastern Parkway and Prospect Place at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday night, police said.

One man pulled out a gun and demanded the 78-year-old hand over the keys to his 2009 sedan then the trio jumped into the car and sped away on St. Marks Avenue, said police.

Police released photos of the suspects, whom they describe as men in their late teens or early 20s, Tuesday night.
