9pm- Karlie Bruce
Genre: Folk-rock
For fans of: Cat Power, Jeff Buckley, Norah Jones.
A native of Sydney, Australia, Karlie Bruce now makes her home in Brooklyn, New York. With a background as dynamic as her work, she is one of many voices of the post-disco big band Escort, has toured extensively as a background and session vocalist and has dipped a toe into the jazz world, opening for pianist Brad Mehldau and appearing with Matt Wilson and Larry Goldings at New York’s esteemed Carnegie Hall.
In September 2012, Karlie released her highly anticipated debut LP, "Paperback Lover," alongside long time band-mates, bassist Derek Nievergelt (Robin McKelle), drummer Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and guitarist and often-collaborator, Chris Parrello (Things I Wonder).
The eight-track release garnered rave reviews; the spare, lilting reveries likened to a “1960’s Greenwich Village” by Ears To The Ground and coined “A soothing masterpiece” by Music You Need.
“Karlie Bruce’s voice is what makes the modest "Paperback Lover" so memorable. It's one of the most alluring instruments you'll hear this or any year.” -88.1 KDHX.

10pm- Jordan Levinson
Genre: Urban country
For fans of: John Prine, Townes van Zandt, Emmylou Harris, Be Good Tanyas
Jordan is a young singer-songwriter from the Hudson Valley. She grew up steeped in the NYC-expat folk scene but quickly sought out a grittier habitat, landing first in anti-folk and now forging around this 'urban country' world, which thankfully seems to be a thing these days. She's just back from a few years working in West Africa and is happy to be back in Brooklyn and expanding her musical family. Sometimes solo, sometimes accompanied, always at your service.
