BROOKLYN, — A man who was set on fire after a fight on a Brooklyn street last month has died, police said.

Cops found Patrick Winkler, 46, on fire at the intersection of Schenectady Avenue and Rutland Road around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, according to police.

After officers used a fire extinguisher from their car to put out the flames, emergency responders took Winkler to Cornell Medical Center.

Winkler told police that a man he knew from the homeless shelter where he'd been staying in Manhattan had set him on fire, according to police and reports. The two had started arguing on the Brooklyn street before the other man doused Winkler with an "accelerant" and lit the fire, police said.

Winkler died a month later on Oct. 19, police said.

There have been no arrests as of Friday in the incident, which has been deemed a homicide, according to police.
