Man Shot, Pistol Whipped In Crown Heights Robbery: Police

CROWN HEIGHTS — Two robbers pistol whipped and shot a Crown Heights man inside his apartment, police said.

The robbery took place Jan. 9 and police seek the public's help identifying the suspects.

It unfolded in a 24-year-old man's apartment near Park Place and Troy Avenue. Two men went inside his apartment at about 11 a.m., flashed a gun and demanded money, authorities said.

They pistol whipped the man and shot him once in the left leg after he fought back, police said. Authorities said the men left without taking anything.

Medical crews took the man to a local hospital. Police said the man is in stable condition, according the last information they received.

NYPD officials released a photograph of one of the suspects.
