Man Steals Thousands From Bank Near Grand Army Plaza, Cops Say

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A bank near Grand Army Plaza was robbed of thousands of dollars this week, police said.

A man caught on surveillance video wearing a striped shirt, mask and hat walked into the Chase Bank at 401 Flatbush Ave. around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

He told a 23-year-old employee at the bank that he had a gun and demanded they hand over money, police said. The man fled on Flatbush Avenue with $3,000.

Nobody was injured during the incident, police said.
