Man On Tracks Delays Brooklyn Subways: MTA
The B, Q and Prospect Park shuttle train are back to regular service after police removed a man from Parkside station, the MTA said.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A man climbed onto the roof at a Prospect Park subway station and snarled Wednesday morning subway traffic, authorities said.
The MTA stopped trains B, Q and Franklin Avenue shuttle lines until NYPD officers talked the man down, authorities said. The trains are back up and running but riders should expect further delays, MTA said.

The "man on tracks" incident began when the man climbed onto the roof at Parkside station at about 8:19 a.m., NYPD said. The man was described as potentially emotionally disturbed, authorities said.

Police requested MTA cut power to subway tracks as they tried to help the man, NYPD said.
Video apparently taken at Parkside station showed a man standing on a roof ledge, hovering over the tracks, a Twitter post by @paulcarlotto showed. A police officer in a bright vest sat nearby, apparently trying to get the man to back away, the video showed.

Eventually, police got the man away from the ledge safely, authorities said. They took him to Kings County Hospital for evaluation, NYPD said.
