Mary-Elaine Jenkins is a New York-based blueswoman. A South Carolina native and lifelong musician, she began performing live when she moved to Washington, DC for college. She came to New York by way of Madrid, where she spent two years teaching English, roaming around, and playing a whole lot of music. Her sound is a delicious and ever-evolving mix of blues, Americana roots, soul, and rock ‘n roll, specializing in the sultry/spooky. This ain’t your mama’s singer/songwriter music.

Jolt Radio talked about Decanted Youth’s demo track Sandman, “The track is amazingly haunting, dreamy, poppy. I can go on for days with descriptions. Bottom line is, give the track a listen and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Hope you enjoy it and make sure to expect more from the band.”

10pm- Dreams of June

Genre: Blues/Pop

For fans of: The Black Keys, Fiona Apple, Adele, Amy Winehouse

Amanda Daviner and Adam Bishop are the creative force known as Dreams of June. Based out of San Jose, California, these musical soul mates concoct an alchemy of pop, alternative rock and soulful blues, which hook the ear from the first bar. Amanda’s deeply confessional and emotionally charged lyrics are delivered with a signature style and range only truly great vocalists possess. When combined with Adam’s mastery of the tableau of rock instruments, production and indelible ear for fusing pop styles, the results are stunning and fill our ears with unforgettable melodies we are compelled to listen to again and again.

It is most rare for a band to emerge from seemingly out of nowhere with a signature sound that reminds us of what we love most about music and what the future of pop music can be. Dreams of June is one of those bands.

Their debut album Passed Lives and newly released EP Letting Go can be found on iTunes, Spotify and CD Baby.
