The Midnight Special- Howell Dawdy

Genre: Comedy/Spoken Word/Electronic For fans of: Reggie Watts / Beck / The Streets (UK)

Howell Dawdy is a spoken word entertainer, MC, and poet with a unique voice cleverly deconstructing the mundane and the absurd. His songs are about relationships, creativity, film, isolation, social skills, each subject thoroughly analyzed with a bizarre and often dark twist. Howell attacks the motivation of a minor character in the film Life of Pi; he presents a meticulous defense of the lifestyle of an average house ghost; he spends an entire song extolling the value of the song itself. The music of Howell Dawdy is infectious yet distinct; his songs are crammed with memorable hooks but as idiosyncratic as the voice they accompany.
