PHOTOS: A Sneak Peek at the New Freddy's

A look inside the soon-to-reopen bar.

If you haven’t already heard,  -- the legendary Prospect Heights bar closed last year to make way for to Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards project -- will reopen next month.

The new location -- Fifth Avenue between 17th and 18th streets -- is not Prospect Heights. But at least it's not Williamsburg.

Though there’s still some work to be done, the folks at Freddy’s were nice enough to let Park Slope Patch take a sneak peek, which they were nice enough to share with us.

Every corner of the new Freddy’s is packed with cool artifacts, from video installations by co-owner Donald O’Finn, to handmade wallpaper by artist Nancy Drew and vintage finds like barnwood O’Finn and co-owner Matt Kuhn literally tore off a barn in upstate New York.

Check it out for yourself. Here’s a peek behind closed doors at the soon-to-open Freddy’s.
