Police Search For Missing Crown Heights Man

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights man remained missing a day after he was last seen stepping onto a bus, police said.

Calvin Boone, 76, boarded a B43 bus on Wednesday just steps away from his Brooklyn Avenue apartment, authorities said. It was about 11:25 a.m. and the last time anyone in his life saw him, according to NYPD.

Boone was reported missing and NYPD put out a silver alert for him late Wednesday. It stated he wore a blue jacket with gray fur , blue jeans, white sneakers and a black wool hat when he stepped onto the bus.

The bus headed south from the Brooklyn Avenue and Bergen Street intersection, police said.

People who have seen him since then are asked to call NYPD. Their anonymous Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
