Prospect Lefferts Garden Woman Dies In Flatbush Crash: NYPD
Monica Herbert, 73, was a passenger in car struck by pickup truck Wednesday at Clarendon Road and East 37th Street, police said.
FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A Prospect Lefferts Gardens woman died Wednesday in a crash at a Flatbush intersection, police said.
Monica Herbert, 73, sat in the passenger seat of a Honda CRV turning left onto Clarendon Road from 37th Street, according to NYPD.
It took her into the path of Dodge Ram pickup truck headed east on 37th Street, which police said struck the Honda driven by a woman, 44.

Medics pulled Herbert and the woman from the Honda and drove them to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced Herbert dead.
The Ram's driver refused medical attention, according to police.

Herbert lived at The Gentry, a luxury co-op on the border of Prospect Lefferts Gardens and Flatbush.
