Join us for the 4th Annual Seafood Throwdown, hosted by GrowNYC/Greenmarket and the Northeast Atlantic Marine Alliance. Slow Food NYC battles The Brooklyn Food Coalition for the Seafood Throwdown throne. Blue Moon Fish will be providing the secret seafood, while Matt Timms of The Takedown will emcee the event. Expert judges will be on hand to decide the winner, including GrowNYC Executive Director Marcel Van Ooyen, Stephanie Villani of Blue Moon Fish, and reigning champion Cheryl Smith of Cheryl’s Global Soul. We don't know which team will take home the gold, but with all of these sustainable food advocacy organizations promoting local seafood, the real winners are definitely our fisheries.
