Man Shot in Crown Heights Apartment Building, NYPD Says
Police responded to a shooting near in an apartment building near Buffalo Avenue and Park Place in Crown Heights, authorities said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in a Crown Heights apartment building, authorities said.
Medics took the man to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, NYPD said. They didn't yet information on where he was shot.
"The investigation is ongoing at this time," stated a tweet on NYPD's 77th Precinct's account

The shooting occurred at about 4:26 p.m., authorities said. It drew NYPD officers to the area near Buffalo Avenue and Park Place, according to NYPD's 77th Precinct's Twitter account.
"Expect to see additional resources in the area," the post read. "Motorists are advised to avoid the area."

Video posted on the Citizen app showed several police cars and at least one ambulance on the street.
Several social media posts mentioned another shooting victim, but the NYPD said multiple times Wednesday that only one man was shot.
"After responding to a 911 call for 'shots fired' in an (apartment) building, one gun shot victim was discovered," according to a NYPD tweet Wednesday evening.
