Stabbing Outside Brooklyn Homeless Shelter Leaves 1 Dead

Officers found the man unconscious and not breathing outside the Armory Men's Shelter in the Crown Heights neighborhood.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A stabbing outside a homeless shelter in Brooklyn has left one man dead. Just before 1 p.m. on Sunday, police officers found the 21-year-old man with a stab wound to his chest outside the Armory Men's Shelter in the Crown Heights neighborhood. The shelter is located on the 1300 block of Bedford Avenue.

The man was unconscious and not breathing. Emergency responders rushed him to Interfaith Hospital where he was declared dead, police said. No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.

The man's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
