How do we respond to a set of closing doors in our lives?

Rejection can be from: a boss, a lover, a family, friends, a job, a school, a country (etc.). Rejection can happen due to: ideas, location, race, sexuality, gender, age (etc.).

The pieces in this collection reflect the variety of responses and questions that arise in the wake of rejection. Some works encapsulate the consuming and volatile responses while others explore the still, introspective moments that may follow a refusal. Every work poses questions on the topic - one that is uneasy to discuss and one with incredible potential to offer insight on oneself.
