Brooklyn C Trains Plagued With Problems During Rush Hour: MTA
A smoke condition, an unruly passenger and a broken train door all stalled C train service Monday afternoon, the MTA said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- C trains were plagued with problems and delays during rush hour Monday as MTA officials battled an unruly passenger, smoke and a broken door, transit officials announced.
Southbound C trains were rerouted to the express track between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Broadway Junction stations at about 5:30 p.m. as police dealt with an unruly passenger at the Utica Street station on the Crown Heights-Bed-Stuy border, according to the MTA.
"Expect delays in A and C train service," transit officials warned.

This announcement came less then an hour after FDNY investigated a smoke condition at the Franklin Avenue station and northbound C trains were rerouted to the A line between Broadway Junction and Hoyt-Schermerhorn stations, officials said.
Normal northbound C train service resumed at about 5 p.m., but MTA officials warned straphangers to expect residual delays.
